Benny Hill

Benny was born in August of 1991 and died, due to kidney failure, on June 9, 2008.

Benny was adopted by the staff at BTAC about five years ago when his owner passed away.  He instantly became a favorite of the staff and clients.  Benny was usually the first to greet people and even comforted our clients when they were worried about their own pets.

"I have so many memories, that it's hard to pick a few.  When we first got him we couldn't keep him in his cage at night, he figured out how to unlock it and would sneak into the food.  We would sit at the front desk and he would come up behind you and start pawing at you for attention.  Another memory is searching the clinic for him and finally discovering him outside, sunbathing on the sidewalk."

"I remember the time we were closing up and we couldn't find Benny, turned out he was in the cat food closet and had torn a hole in a bag of food and was eating it."

"I remember when he would follow you around the clinic, fussing at you for attention."

"I remember all the times he would lay on his back and I would spin him around.  I'll miss Benny."

"I remember when I put a sweater on him and it was too small.  He wouldn't move his legs and did not look happy."

"Benny was the best clinic cat we could have asked for.  He had such personality!  He would have days where he would completely ignore you and then have days where he demanded your attention.  Needless to say, he was spoiled by all of us and is missed greatly. BTAC won't be the same without him."

"There are many things I could say about Benny, I just know I miss him.  I did love that he wasn't scared of anything.  A giant dog could go after him and he wouldn't budge and would stare at them like he was bored.

"On our cleaning days, he even enjoyed a little vacuuming."
